Beach Days at Jetty Island

Oh my gosh, I haven't blogged in forever!! I don't think I even remember how!  But thought I'd post a few fun pics of our day at the beach yesterday.  This is my personal blog, not my photography blog, which is still under construction (for those that are wondering).

We went out to Jetty Island which is a beautiful sandy beach that you have to take a short little boat ride to get to.  It was such a gorgeous day.  Here are just a few fun shots of the beauty out there.

Good Times at the Beach!

Last week my friend, Christina took Tyler and Maddie to Jetty Island with her kids for me. The island is a long jetty with lots of sand and is perfect for playing on the beach. You have to take a short (5 minute) boat ride to get out to it and then a long walk to the beach side of the island. Well boarding a boat, and all that walking just wasn't going to work for me being on crutches, so I am so grateful that she took them for me. From these pics, it looks like they had a blast!

Okay, take a look in the background of this picture. Apparently there were some serious skimboarders there doing tricks off of ramps. Tyler said they were soooo cool to watch and were videotaping their moves to put on "you.tube" Check out one of the videos here. I agree, they are really cool to watch, but it definitely looks easier than it is, he assures me!

We're so glad we've made some good memories at the beaches, now that summer is coming to a close!
