On the Fourth of July we had a nice relaxing afternoon barbeque at home, and then headed outside to do our "legal" fireworks. (No, no Boom City for us this year!)

Before dusk, we headed over to our friends, The Hilton's, dock on the lake to see the "real" fireworks over Lake Stevens.
The sunset was gorgeous that night, and I was glad my camera was able to capture it!

We had a perfect view that night.
Funny thing, while we were watching the fireworks, another family, the McCally's in our ward, were out on their boat and saw us on the dock. They offered to take us on a short boat ride.
What a perfect ending to a fun day!
