Mom, I'm Bored!

Well this is what it evolved to ... Target practice!

Please note, this is a marshmellow shooter made out of PVC pipe, no children were actually harmed in this activity!

Poor Maddie ... no, she really wanted to try and catch the marshmellows! (I think she actually had fun posing for the pictures!)

These pictures were taken at the the beginning of the summer, now the target practice has kicked up a notch!

Scary huh, this new (semi-automatic), oops Tyler, I mean fully automatic air-soft gun, is what we had waiting for us when we came home from our trip to UT, compliments of Uncle Weston. On our recent trip to UT last week (which I still need to post pictures about...) my sister's husband, Weston, had 3 of these cool guns for her 2 boys and Tyler. He asked if it would be okay to give one to Tyler, and of course, what could a mom say! We had it shipped here, (there's not a chance that I was going to try and pack it in our bags on the airplane!) Tyler was very glad to see how quickly it got here and he's been enjoying target practice ever since (not with Maddie around of course!) Good thing he's been working on his rifle shooting and gun safety merit badge at scout camp. Amazing how the toys change the older they get!

Family Night Bike Ride

For family night, we took a spontaneous bike ride up to Tyler's Elementary school (well actually, his former school!) and the kids had fun playing on the playground. You can tell it was just starting to get dark when I took the pictures. Fun!

Now this pose made me nervous!

Cute tummy there! Can you tell she likes to pick out her own clothes, even if they are too small? Somehow they keep ending up in the drawers again!

It was a fun night!
